Eligibility:

  • Open to visual artists working in installation, sculpture, or related disciplines.

  • Open to artists of all nationalities and ages who are established professionally in the international art scene.

About the Residency :

The Atelier Calder Residency in Saché, France provides two three-month residencies in 2026, coinciding with the centenary of Alexander Calder’s arrival in France and the 50th anniversary of his passing. Artists receive time, space, and support to develop their work in a fully equipped 300m² studio and 450m² furnished house.

Residency Options:

  • Residency #1 (March–June 2026): Concludes with an exhibition at Centre d’art des Tanneries in Amilly.

  • Residency #2 (September–December 2026): Includes participation in the AR(t]CHIPEL Festival through events and public engagement.

Resident Support:

  • €5,000 living stipend.

  • €6,000 production budget.

  • Access to a vehicle for local transportation (international driver’s license required).

  • Technical and logistical assistance from a dedicated staff.

CV (2 pages max)

Artist’s statement (1 page max)

10–20 images of artwork

Project proposal (including concept, materials, production process, and estimated budget)
