What is Weekly Rise?

Weekly Rise is a weekly newsletter for women and non-binary artists with opportunities and art world highlights.

Weekly Rise is a collaboration between ArtGirlRising and Repaint History. We came together to help underrepresented artists rise to their rightful position in the art world.

We are not the originators of these opportunities, instead we are gathering the incredible opportunities from our community and peers and putting it in one place. Think of Weekly Rise as a one stop shop or yellow pages for women and non-binary artists. A place where everything is “under one roof

How did Weekly Rise come about?

Weekly Rise is a response to community needs. We receive daily requests from our audiences to share opportunities, industry news, exhibitions and more. At the moment there is no platform or space online, where you can find everything in one place.

Weekly Rise is also an act of collaboration over competition. As two organizations with the same goals, we hope to encourage other businesses to join forces too. We firmly believe that we are stronger together and that we can create lasting change when we share resources and stand united in the work we do.

How does listings work?

You will be prompted to fill in a form when you click ‘Submit & Pay’ in the listings page. When the form with all listing information has been completed you will be redirected to the payment page once payment has been made, our team will upload your listing and you will receive an email when your listing is live. Listings are updated every Wednesday and the newsletter goes out every Thursday.

How long are listings valid for?

Listings are valid for 30 days, starting from the Wednesday the listing goes live.

How often do we update listings?

We update listings once a week, on a Wednesday

When does the newsletter go out?

The listing highlight newsletter goes out every Thursday, and occasionally on a Friday.

What is our audience size?

We have 114k+ followers on Instagram (Repaint History & ArtGirlRising combined). We have 10k newsletter subscribers with an average opening rate of 54%, well above the industry average opening rate of 21%

Fair Exchange

Listings will always be free to read and consume by artists. We understand that people will question why there is a fee to publish listings, we firmly believe that everyone should be paid fairly for their work and contribution, including people in the art world! We are a small and passionate team and we charge a fee to operate and grow this opportunities portal.
