Eligibility: The eligibility requirements are as follows:
Artists:
To be eligible to apply for this residency, the applicant must be a professional artist as determined by similar criteria used by the Canada Arts Council. We are looking for a combination of:
- Specialized training in artistic field 
- Recognized as a professional by peers in the field 
- A history of exhibitions, public presentations and/or publications 
- Curatorial activity will also be noted 
Scholars:
To be eligible to apply for this residency, the applicant must be a distinguished scholar in a field related to the arts. We are looking for a combination of:
- Specialized experience and/or education in specific field 
- A history of research, public presentations and/or publications 
- Curatorial or artistic endeavors will also be noted 
About the call: The University of Victoria & Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park Artist Scholar Residency was created by an interinstitutional partnership and their unwavering belief in cultivating the arts. This Residency is for artists and scholars seeking space to focus on creating a work for exhibition or publication that is informed by their investigation of Rubinoff’s work and their experience working at the sculpture park.
What You Get: All travel, food, and accommodation will be covered by the residency, along with a budget to cover materials and shipping (if applicable). The awardee will receive a stipend of $5,000 (CAD) in addition to the covered costs. The awardee will have access to on-site facilities including: library, interpretive center, studio, the sculpture park itself. The awardee will conclude the residency with a showcase of their works in Victoria in addition to university engagement within the Fine Arts Departments.
