About the residency:
Willowtail is a unique property, offering one – three week residencies that have a special appeal to artists. Sixty acres tucked away in the high, alpine desert of the Four Corners Region writers come to begin or work on novels, poems, memoirs, screenplays, musicians practice, compose and rehearse, visual artists paint, draw, sculpt, and photograph. However, the best quality of Willowtail Springs Nature Preserve and Education Center is its ability to offer a quiet inspiring space to reflect, research, experiment, explore, laugh and create, easily, intensely.
Application Deadlines
Full-Scholarship, Partial-Scholarship or Fully Self-funded Residencies: for one or two week Full Scholarship Residencies or Partial Scholarship Residencies. Applicants can apply all year.
Willowtail is looking for individual practitioners in the arts.
Willowtail is also looking for two residents in two different mediums to participate in a collaborative Residency. We will look at writing, film, poetry, visual arts or music which deal with this theme. The two residents awarded would both reside at Willowtail for two weeks at the same time and work both individually and in collaboration with each other.
