2025 Call for Solo and Group Proposals

Arts & Education at the Hoyt is currently seeking artists to fill its 2026-27/2027-28 Exhibition Schedules. Solo, duo, collectives and curatorial proposals are welcome.

Eligibility: While not necessarily limited to artists age 21+ from the Mid-Atlantic region, preference is given to proposals stemming from Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and Washington D.C under the following conditions:

About the call: Arts & Education at the Hoyt is currently seeking artists to fill its 2026-27/2027-28 Exhibition Schedules. Solo, duo, collectives and curatorial proposals are welcome.

— Applying to Arts & Education at the Hoyt: Selection for exhibition on our main campus is competitive. Artists are typically established and have prior exhibition experience. You must be able to demonstrate mature talent with a consistent body of work. While most media will be considered, video and installation are discouraged due to the historic nature of the facilities.

— Applying to UPMC Jameson: The Hoyt and UPMC Jameson collecting recognize the healing power of the arts and has reignited a partnership to rotate exhibitions in high traffic corridors of the hospital. In particular, the Hoyt atrium offering a bank of windows that is visible from the Wilmington Avenue entrance. While the fusion of arts and medicine is a topic of interest, subject matter may vary. Please note, all work must be secured to a wall. Thus installations, video and 3D submissions cannot be considered.


Please submit a proposal that includes a description of the proposed body of work, 10-20 jpeg images, an image list (titles, media and dimensions), resume or curriculum vitae, and a $25.00 review fee using our online submission portal.

Stipends up to $500 are available to assist with shipping/ transportation.

Main Street Arts - Group Exhibition: Birds

Submit your work to be considered for inclusion in a group exhibition focused on birds. Submissions can either focus on visual depictions of birds or work which communicates the metaphors attributed to birds (i.e. on a wire, of a feather, catching the worm, etc.). Work submitted may be in any medium and there are no size restrictions. submit up to 5 pieces.

All Connections to Unley Art Prize

Artists are invited to explore their personal connection to the City of Unley, representing or interpreting its people, places, and history.
