Art in the Open podcast wtih Shelley Miller studio

In Episode 5 of “Art in the Open”, a podcast about public artists in Canada, Toronto-based artist Katharine Harvey joins Shelley Miller via Zoom. Harvey shares her experiences creating public art, both permanent and ephemeral. She has worked within percent-for-art programs as well as worked with private developers and public art consultants. The artist shares her inspirations, her motivation to initiate a mentoring partnership, and lessons she’s learned along the way. Rooted in feminist art practices, fellow artist Shelley Miller is always looking for ways to give women a bold visual voice in public spaces.
