ACS realises how difficult it is for recent graduates to focus on their art, especially after leaving university. The ACS Studio Prize was founded to help. Eligibility: If you are a national of the UK, EEA, Australia or New Zealand and are an undergraduate or postgraduate university student on an accredited art course who is about to graduate, or if you have graduated from a university accredited art course within the last four years, and you work in pictures, collage, painting, sculpture, tapestry, ceramics, glassware or photography, then you are also eligible to apply for the prize.

Alternatively, financial support provided by Compass can be used as leverage for further match funding. The whole Compass 2026 programme is still subject to funding and Compass will discuss and explain the timeline for confirmation of funding with selected artists at the outset.
The Homiens Art Prize
The Homiens Art Prize awards artists over $12,000 USD annually, which means that it is one of the highest paying art prizes maintained by an independent art gallery that, to protect the artistic integrity of the prize, accepts no sponsorship. We ensure that 100% of the value that we offer in our prizes is received by artists as cash awards. In addition, ownership of all artworks entered remains with the artist. All entrants are free to exhibit and display their artworks elsewhere.

This round, three winning artists and twelve finalists will exhibit with Homiens as part of our seasonal exhibition program. In addition, each winning artist receives an unrestricted cash award of $1000 USD, may participate in an optional interview, and may request a letter of recommendation from our Jurors. Additionally, up to 200 artists per round are highly commended and celebrated across our media (including our website - 100,000+ annual visitors - and our extensive mailing list). All entrants are considered for exhibition. Furthermore, each entrant to The Homiens Art Prize receives a certificate of participation which can be used to contribute towards a demonstration of professional participation in the art industry.

About the call: The Gifts of Art Program is seeking submissions for individual and group art exhibits for the September 2025 to August 2026 exhibition year. One of the first and most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs in the nation, Gifts of Art brings the world of art and music to Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan.
Our nine 2-D and 3-D galleries throughout the medical center are viewed by thousands of people each day and display over 30 exhibits per year.
Gifts of Art’s rotating gallery program is intended to support the healing process by calming nerves, lifting spirits, engaging minds and thereby reducing the stress and anxiety often associated with healthcare settings. At Michigan Medicine, inclusion is a core value with the goal of fostering an environment where every individual has a sense of belonging. This value is reflected in the artwork we select for our galleries: art that welcomes, art that amplifies voices, and art that reflects the community we serve at Michigan Medicine. Submission Guidelines for Selection
Artists can submit up to 2 images of original artworks. Artworks must be original, aligns with the theme, have been created in the last 2 years and not appeared in prior VASA art exhibitions. Artworks should not exceed size 36×36 inches, due to space constraint only limited number of large artworks will be selected.
Name your submission images with your first and last name, followed by title of work e.g JohnDoeMoonDance.jpeg. Image files should have minimum resolution of 72 dpi.
Results will be emailed by June 23, 2025, with further information. The curator will appraise artworks in accordance with the exhibition theme while looking for creativity that successfully represents the objective of the theme along with technical skill, form and concept. Only accepted artworks will be included in the exhibition. Curator’s decisions are final.
Final Submission
If you are accepted, by submitting your entry you give VASA Arts Festival the right to publish your images for publicity purposes for the current year and within all future promotions.
Artwork must be ready for display and arrive with professional framing and mounting with appropriate hardware securely attached. VASA Arts Festival will not be held responsible for damage caused by faulty hanging hardware.
VASA Arts Festival reserves the right to refuse artworks that arrive with sawtooth, clip hangers or faulty wiring. Art in unsuitable condition for display, copies, reproductions or controversial subject matters will not be accepted.
Only accepted artwork by the curator will be included in the exhibition. All selected entries will remain on display until the final day of the exhibition.
