Eligibility: Individual artists or art groups at home or abroad are eligible. The entries can be original or existing pieces, created independently under the name of the individual or group. A maximum of two entries per individual/group is allowed for submission. 3-dimensional or spatial installation art; must use weather-resistant materials for permanent outdoor display. Minimum one dimension (L, W, or H) must be 300cm.
About the call: Among its most significant landmarks is the CMU MoFA, the only project in East Asia designed by Frank Gehry, laureate of the Pritzker Architecture Prize. Ahead of the museum’s official inauguration, and in alignment with CMU’s mission to advance contemporary art, support original and visionary practices, and embody “University/Education, Hospital/Health, Art/Sustainability” which are the three core themes of the China Medical University–Asia University System, the “2026 International Sculpture Award of the China Medical University–Asia University System” has been launched.
What You Get: The Award consists of one Gold Award, one Silver Award, and one Bronze Award, along with nine Honorable Mentions. The 12 finalists selected in the preliminary review for the final review automatically agree to permanent collection of their works by China Medical University. The final allocation of awards shall be determined by the results of the final review. Details of the awards and prizes are as follows. The total Prize Reward exceeds NT$ 20,000,000. Gold Award: 1 winner, with a cash prize of NT$1,800,000 and an acquisition fee of NT$1,400,000, totaling NT$3,200,000. Silver Award: 1 winner, with a cash prize of NT$1,000,000 and an acquisition fee of NT$1,400,000, totaling NT$2,400,000. Bronze Award: 1 winner, with a cash prize of NT$500,000 and an acquisition fee of NT$1,400,000, totaling NT$1,900,000 Honorable Mention: 9 winners, with an acquisition fee of NT$1,400,000.
